EU Timber Regulations Policy (EUTR)
Treemex GMBH is fully compliant with regard to the EU Timber Regulations (EUTR).
We conduct “due diligence” on all our suppliers as we are obliged so to do by law to ensure all timber we trade has been legally sourced.
The majority of our suppliers are visited regularly, controlled and observed by the board of the company and in particular our Purchasing Director who is based in Douala in Cameroon. He has many years experience in the West African forestry industry having worked in Concessions and Sawmills in several West African Countries including Gabon, RCA and Congo-Brazzaville.
This procedure is checked by the BLE (Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung) as the monitoring body for the Bundesrepublik Deutschland and is open to scrutiny by them at any time.
